Aston Martin team boss Mike Krack has discussed the upgrade plan for Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. So far, Alonso has scored 12 points, and the Canadian has added one point himself. They are seemingly a little behind Ferrari but could potentially battle for third place in the constructors' championship.
The arrival of Fernando Alonso proved to be a golden move for both the team in 2023 and the Spaniard himself. Before the summer break, the two-time world champion was on the podium six times.
Aston Martin's performance dropped as the 2023 season went on. The other teams continued to develop strongly. The highlight so far in 2024 is Alonso's fourth place during qualifying in Jeddah. In the race, the Spaniard lost a place, which still gave him 10 points in the championship.

Aston Martin team boss: 'First upgrades at Imola'

Despite Aston Martin being slightly behind the podium places at the moment, team boss Mike Krack is confident in the car: "We really want to keep developing this car continuously, but we also want to not wait too long. Over the events to come, there will always be changes. Imola? We cannot wait that long."
