Ferrari boss
Maurizio Arrivabene vows not to give up on
Sebastian Vettel's title hopes in 2018. Arrivabene suggests his team will "challenge the impossible" against
Mercedes in the final four races of the season.
In Austin, Mercedes need a 1-2 in order to crown
Lewis Hamilton as World Champion for the fifth time. Either that or a Hamilton win and Vettel to finish third or lower. Despite the long odds, Arrivabene tells Sky Sports his team aren't going to give up. This comes as a surprise considering
Ferrari didn't swap Kimi Raikkonen and Vettel over in the final stages of the Japanese Grand Prix.
"It's easy to be pragmatic," Arrivabene said.
"Saturday we had a problem that everyone knows about but as I said many times I was a bit disappointed, but we win and we lose together.
“Now concerning the future races, I know the situation looks impossible but our job sometimes is to challenge the impossible and this is what we are going to do, we try to do for the future four races.”
They'll be a lot of head scratching in the Ferrari garage over the winter that's for sure!
