Maurizio Arrivabene labels
Ferrari's win on Sunday as "well-deserved", admist the mass amount of controversy.
There has been large amounts of fallout from Sunday's British Grand Prix surrounding
Kimi Raikkonen's collision with
Lewis Hamilton in the opening lap.
The Ferrari driver span the Mercedes driver out early on and there has been much speculation that Raikkonen did this deliberately.
Sebastian Vettel capitalized on this incident and went on to deny Hamilton a home win, even though Hamilton started on pole.
Vettel overtook Hamilton's team mate
Valtteri Bottas late on, to extend his lead at the top of the drivers' standings and also Ferrari's lead in the constructors' standings to 20 points.
Ferrari's team principal, Arrivabene, had much praise for Ferrari's SF71H and also the Pirelli tyres at
Silverstone.
"This was a well-deserved win, mainly down to a great job from the team at the track and back in Maranello and I congratulate them," Arrivabene said.
"Winning here is not easy as England is home to the Mercedes, Red Bull, McLaren, Force India and Williams and others.
"That makes winning here all the more special.
"The SF71H confirmed its strengths as it has done on other tracks already and the Pirelli tyres were a perfect match for our strategy.
"Tomorrow we will have our debrief and right from the afternoon we will start preparing for Sebastian's home race, the German GP."
