Alfa Romeo announced this morning that they will continue their partnership with Sauber into 2021. Although not official, it seems certain that Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi will drive for the team next year.
With the Finnish and Italian pair set to continue, it looks as if Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher will lineup for Haas, although nothing has been confirmed by any party.
Cooperation between Alfa Romeo and Sauber will continue for another year. Their work together began in 2017, one year after Peter Sauber sold the team. In 2018 the team were still called Alfa Romeo Sauber, but from 2019 it was decided that the team would continue under the name Alfa Romeo Racing.
Frederic Vasseur, the team boss of Alfa Romeo, admitted he is happy with the renewed cooperation between the two companies. "The expansion of our relationship with Alfa Romeo is a true declaration of intent by both parties. It was always the intention of both parties that this relationship would bear fruit in the long term. We have laid solid foundations over the past three seasons and we want to reap the benefits of this work in 2021 and beyond."
