Alexander Albon was on display at the Singapore circuit after an absence in Italy on Friday. The Thai noticed he was struggling on track, but tells on Williams' website that he was satisfied with the way the first day went.
The driver did not get away from the back positions during the first two free practice sessions. With sixteenth place twice, Albon did not impress in the end, but the driver said he had already taken into account that it could be difficult.
However, his return to the track was paramount for Albon. "Good to get back in the car," he began. "I wouldn't say it's a breeze. I'd be lying, but everyone's struggling out there." For now, he takes the result at face value. "We expected that, this weekend, the car doesn't really suit this place."

Williams experiences a tough race weekend

Nicholas Latifi, who is leaving Williams at the end of the season, fared even worse than his teammate Albon. The Canadian did not get beyond last place twice, leaving Williams with work to do in the coming days.
