According to F1 fans, this is the best driver of 2021

Formula 1 has asked their fans to vote for the best driver of 2021. It comes as no surprise that the fans think world champion Max Verstappen is the best driver of the season.

The Dutchman finished first with a fine score of 8.8. Lewis Hamilton is in second place with an 8.36. Among other achievements, Verstappen had more victories and pole positions than his rival and beat him in the closing stages of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for the championship.

Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas has not made the top ten this year, while Sergio Perez is in sixth place. Especially in the last race, the Mexican played a big role in Verstappen's victory.

The drivers of Ferrari and Alpine also get good scores from the fans. Carlos Sainz completes the top three, while Charles Leclerc finished ninth. Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris also score well. The Frenchman made it to fourth place after his impressive year at AlphaTauri. Norris makes it to fifth place.
