Plans and rumours surrounding a possible Dutch Grand Prix have been circulating for a while. But following Charlie Whiting's visit last Friday, speculation has gone up a notch!
According to Motorsport, the FIA race director visited Zandvoort last week. The 'orange army' have played a key part in F1 crowds this season, with a mountain of support for favourite Max Verstappen at both Austrian and Belgium Grands Prix. A race in the Netherlands will certainly be welcomed by the home fans.
The reason behind Whiting's visit is yet to be confirmed, but it's more than likely that he was assessing the situation and facilities.
