After the sprint qualifying, the starting grid for the Brazilian Grand Prix was drawn up with some changes. Valtteri Bottas beat Max Verstappen in the battle for pole position and behind him Carlos Sainz held off Sergio Perez. Red Bull Racing drivers will therefore start from P2 and P4.

On the third row of the grid are Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. A fight to keep an eye on, given the battle for P3 in the constructors classification. With Daniel Ricciardo in P11 Ferrari can score more points again and widen the gap to McLaren. On the fourth row of the grid, there is another battle in the constructors' classification. Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon will start next to each other with AlphaTauri and Alpine are currently tied in the standings and there too every point is vital.

On the fifth row of the grid, we finally see Lewis Hamilton, who finished fifth on Saturday, but drops to P10 with a grid penalty, with Sebastian Vettel just ahead of him. Notable outside the top ten is Kimi Raikkonen, who will not be on the grid. The Finn has made adjustments to his set-up and will start from the pitlane.
