Major concerns at Alfa Romeo: 'The problem is that it's out of my control'

Valtteri Bottas will be part of the Alfa Romeo team next season. However, it is still not known which driver will sit next to the Finn. Antonio Giovinazzi hopes to have a good chance, although he has no news yet.

The Italian driver is asked almost daily by the media what his future looks like, but also has no idea himself. In conversation with Motorsport.com Giovinazzi admits it's not a simple situation.

"That doesn't make it easy to perform," he explainsed.

"Every driver will give the same answer to that question. You want to know what you are going to do next season, whether you are here or not. It's not ideal, but that's how the situation is. I will do my best as long as there is a chance, even with the extra pressure. But I've mentioned it before, that pressure is always there."

Giovinazzi must stay focused

Giovinazzi, however, is trying to maintain concentration. "You know I've always felt this, it's always a theme what's going to happen the next season. Again this year. The problem is that it's out of my control, it's not a decision I can influence. All I can do is perform as well as I can and wait and see what people are going to decide."
