Liberty Media wants to add more Grands Prix to the calendar but earlier, Mercedes and McLaren already announced that they are not in favour of that. Franz Tost of AlphaTauri has now expressed an differing opinion in the press conference for team managers after the first free practice for the Turkish GP.
There is a lot of criticism on Formula 1's plans to add even more races to the calendar in the future, because it causes a higher workload for all employees of the teams. The crew of the racing teams are only home for a select number of weeks each year.
However, Tost would not mind so much if, for example, two more races were to be driven. According to the Austrian team boss all employees 'should be happy'. According to Motorsport-Total.com, he points out that in the past testing was done more often and that the workload is not significantly less.

Tost straightforward

It is still unclear which direction things will really go, but Tost has his mind made up. "If there are people who don't like the calendar, they should just quit," he said.
