Red Bull engineer responds to critics: "It's not all a big constant party"

Red Bull Racing's Senior Systems Engineer was a bit done with the criticism from some viewers, who play down the work schedule of team members because "they get paid for it." On his Twitter page, he published a series of posts briefly exposing the average race week.

"A fun little thread for the 'ItS wHaT tHeYrE PaId FoR' crew who thinks it's all one big constant party," he heralds the tweets. He then goes on to describe briefly each day of a race week for team members.

The common thread is that it is a very intensive schedule, especially in terms of time, in which team members have to start early and work long hours and eat at irregular times. They also have to fly to the other side of the world several times in a row, but there is no time for jet lag.

The conclusion: "Working in Formula 1 is an incredible privilege that few of us will ever know, but that doesn’t mean it’s some Monaco party everywhere. It's hard work and it's lonely for our families. That's why there are no rivals in the pit lane, just our new, second travelling family."
