Behind the scenes, Ferrari is working hard to return to the top of Formula 1. The team's brand new revolutionary simulator is ready for the first test laps of Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and the test drivers.

Mega project of Ferrari

This reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. According to Ferrari, the new simulator is crucial to be competitive in the upcoming era of Formula 1. In 2022 brand new cars will appear on the grid, which in terms of aerodynamics bear little resemblance to the current Formula 1 cars.

The new simulator of Ferrari was a very big project for the team. According to La Gazzetta, the Scuderia worked on it for more than two years. The simulator was built in a special building, next to the sports management facilities in Maranello.

Another half-year with the old one

Now that the new simulator has been installed in Maranello it is time for the first tests that Leclerc, Sainz and the development drivers will perform. The old simulator will be compared with the new one, so the engineers can fine-tune the new version. From 2022 onwards the new simulator should definitively replace the old one.
