Lando Norris on practice sessions: 'We didn't put it all together'

It wasn't the performance we expected from Lando Norris and McLaren today in the two practice sessions, as we saw the young Brit finish in 10th and ninth in FP1 and FP2 respectively. Speaking to Sky Sports after the race, he admitted that it wasn't all there today.

"Just a lot of different tyres and trying to feel a lot of different things. We tried different things with the set-up but we didn't put it all together," Norris told the medium. "We will analyse it overnight and hopefully come back with a better car for tomorrow."

When asked about the prototype tyres used in the session, Norris explained, "they don't seem different and they will do analysis from a team side but from a driving perspective they aren't different."

Finally, when asked about the importance of tyre management for the race on Sunday, he stated, "management on the soft and hard, is what you will have to do. It will be an interesting race than last week knowing when to push and not push."
