Mercedes seem to be definitively in the chase against Red Bull Racing this year. Max Verstappen's team have clearly made a leap over the winter and have now won four races in a row. At Sky Sports, they also see that the mindset of the Mercedes team is changing.

""They are looking for answers. Everybody accepts they are on the back foot. They've come out this week and said they are going to bring updates forwards. They are going to plan to reintroduce things that are going to improve the car. They need to extract more out of the package they've got. That's where Red Bull can operate a bit cleaner. If Mercedes can get on top of that, absolutely they can win this Grand Prix," begins Paul di Resta.

Wolff and Hamilton must provide motivation

The former F1 driver continues his story. "Lewis you can hear in his voice, it's different to where it has been. He's up against it and you can see the hard work he's putting in. He's trying to re-energise the team coming into this weekend because he wants to nail it."

Di Resta is joined by Johnny Herbert, who also addresses team boss Toto Wolff. "Toto needs to keep morale as high as he can. That motivation, the talks he does after every Grand Prix are important to keep everyone on their toes so they can strike back at Red Bull. James Allison said about these upgrades, they're not coming here for sure. They have known they had to move forward. Silverstone I imagine is where we are going to see it," Herbert said.
