Former F1 driver Magnussen replaces Rosenqvist at Arrow McLaren
Due to the hard hit Felix Rosenqvist made during the IndyCar-race in Detroit, he can't participate in the next race. McLaren announces that former Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen will replace him.
As Rosenqvist's accelerator got stuck, he shot straight on and experienced a huge impact. The team of Arrow McLaren announced on Twitter that Rosenqvist has not been cleared to race at Road America this weekend. Magnussen, who drove for Haas F1 last year, will replace him, making his official IndyCar debut. Further updates on Rosenqvist's condition will be announced later.
Magnussen and McLaren
Magnussen is a familiar face at McLaren. In fact, in 2014, the driver drove for the team in F1 and even achieved a second place at the Australian Grand Prix.
Welcome to the AMSP team, @KevinMagnussen. Kevin will pilot the No. 7 Vuse @ArrowMcLarenSP Chevrolet and make his #INDYCAR debut on the 20th June at the #REVGroupGP.
