Formula 1 wanted to return to a 'regular season' in 2021, but it just won't happen. Now the Turkish Grand Prix has been replaced by a second race in Austria, and according to the guys at RTL GP Slipstream that is not the last change.

The 2021 Formula 1 calendar was presented well before the start of the season with 23 races. F1 wanted to go back to a normal season, but was that possible with the current corona crisis? It turns out not, because the Grand Prix of Australia, Canada, Turkey, China and Vietnam already disappeared or shifted on the current calendar.

No GP in Brazil

According to Kees van de Grint the Grands Prix in Brazil and Mexico are also under pressure. I heard from circles close to the fire that the race in South America, or Brazil, will not take place either. There is also a question mark over the Mexico Grand Prix,'' says the former Bridgestone tyre expert.

"I understood that Brazil has been cancelled anyway, but that they are still doubting if they want to include Mexico in South America, while that is not the case," adds Allard Kalff. ''It's not crazy either if you look at the figures. Now (Jair) Bolsonaro is finally planning to vaccinate, but of course it's frightening over there (in Brazil)'', Van de Grint concludes.
