The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is just around the corner and that brings us to the last race of 2020. The Formula 1 season has flown by, according to Toyoharu Tanabe, who is hoping for a good finish.

Red Bull Racing and Honda did not have the year that they had hoped for in 2020. The goal was to compete for the title, but Mercedes have had their hands on the trophy for a long time. Honda and Red Bull will have one more chance in 2021 and nothing has yet been announced about the future of Red Bull's engines.

Honda hopes for a suitable final

''We now come to the last race of the year in Abu Dhabi. It has been a strange season because of the pandemic with a late start, but we managed to do 17 races between July and December. It has been quite difficult because of the travel restrictions and the fact that some circuits were not available to us, but I have the feeling that the season has gone by very quickly," says Tanabe in the Honda statement.

''On the Yas Marina Circuit there are a few long straights in the first part, while the second half has more slow corners. This will be the third consecutive race under artificial light, starting after sunset. I'm sure it will prove popular with fans who like to see the colourful cars and all the sparks flying. Last week at the Sakhir Grand Prix we didn't get the results we wanted from our four cars for several reasons, so we are hoping for a suitable final, where we can fight with both teams and all our drivers until the end," concludes the Honda boss.
