There was no real chaos, but qualifying for the Sakhir Grand Prix was still exciting. However, the result was as usual; two Mercedes drivers at the front and Max Verstappen behind them.

Grid penalties

Two drivers have been given a grid-penalty after engine parts have been replaced. Lando Norris and Pietro Fittipaldi will start on the back row.

Verstappen has Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc next to him on the second row of the grid. Sergio Perez starts in fifth place at Racing Point, ahead of Daniil Kvyat who had his best qualifying of the season. The top ten are completed by Daniel Ricciardo, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly and Lance Stroll. Alexander Albon once again disappointed and only started in 12th place.
