Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton were not the best of friends on the track, but there is mutual respect. Rosberg has congratulated his old teammate on achieving his seventh world title thanks to his victory in the Turkish Grand Prix.
In recent years, Hamilton has been supreme in Formula 1. Only Rosberg managed to outdo the British driver in 2016. Then he retired. Valtteri Bottas replaced him, but the 31-year-old Finn cannot get as close as Rosberg did.
Rosberg took the moment to praise Hamilton via Twitter. "Becoming a seven-time world champion is insane. Massively deserved. Surely one of the greatest achievements in the history of sport. Congratulations Lewis and enjoy the celebrations with your family and friends."
