LIVE: Who will take top spot in FP2 from Silverstone?
The first free practice is over and that means that we are now mainly going to look at the long runs of the teams. Maybe Red Bull has improved a bit compared to Mercedes? Who is best behind the top three this weekend? We are all going to see it in VT2! Last week Red Bull was a lot closer to Mercedes in race trim. Maybe they will be closer to Mercedes this time around!
What happened last week?
Last week's British Grand Prix was a quiet affair as it looked like Mercedes would walk away with yet another one-two. Instead, it came to life with just a few laps remaining as tyre problems across the field led to dramatic circumstances. Valterri Bottas was the first to fall victim as he missed out on the points before with just a handful of corners remaining Hamilton had the same issue. The Brit somehow limped over the line with Verstappen cutting his lead from 30 to six seconds in one lap.
Round two at Silverstone
Now it is time for round two at the home of Formula 1 in Britain as the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix is upon us. In this makeshift schedule, this weekend will see the second of two races at Silverstone. Will Hamilton come out on top again? Can Bottas bounce back after last week's despair? Or will we see a shock on the cards?
