Lewis Hamilton had to swallow his criticism of Helmut Marko after it turned out that the Austrian's racist expressions had never existed, but the question is whether Hamilton can ignore Bernie Ecclestone's latest interview?

Black people are in many cases more racist

"Lewis is special. Let's first say that he's very talented as a driver and now turns out to have a talent for speeches. He's doing great by standing up for the black people community like that. However, I don't think it will do anything for Formula 1," said Ecclestone in a CNN Sport interview with Amanda Davies.

''It will make people think more about what is important. It's the same for everyone and people have to let it go that we don't all think the same about each other. In a lot of cases black people are more racist than white people'', Ecclestone's said.

Ecclestone doesn't understand Hamilton

"I think it's completely stupid taking all these statues down. They should've left them there. Take the kids from school to look and say why they're there and what the people did and how wrong it was what they did,'' said Bernie Ecclestone, who was criticised in 2008 for not standing up for Lewis when fans put on a black makeup to upset him and his family.

''According to his father, everything was good and I'm surprised it touched him. I didn't expect him to take those people seriously and let it pass him by. I don't understand why people do that. Was it really personal with him and what did they think?'', Ecclestone concludes his interview, which most likely will have a tail turn.
