It's the summer break for the Formula 1 paddock! Some well-needed rest for the drivers and their respective teams, as well as a time to re-group for the second leg of 2019. When is the next race after the break? Find out here!

We've enjoyed five races in the last seven weeks. As entertaining as that is for us consumers, it is extremely demanding for the drivers and their teams. The preparation, the analysing and the constant research and development at the factories take their tole on the paddock, especially with this many races in such a short period.

The teams now get several weeks off before we pick up the season again at Spa Francorchamps.

Every second off these weeks will be used to analyse data, to develop and fit new upgrades, to get a more competitive car on the grid once the F1 circus travels to Belgium. The summer break is a key part of the season for that reason; who will show up with the best package? You would fancy Ferrari, the team with the best straight-line speed, to set the tone at the power-heavy Spa, but how will Red Bull Racing and Mercedes improve their power units these weeks?

We'll find out then.

When is the next race?

The Belgian Grand Prix kicks off on Friday August 30th, with the race being on September 1st. That's almost a month without Formula 1... what will we do with our lives in the meantime?
