Potential Force India buyer set to take administrators to court

It seems a long time since Lawrence Stroll bought Force India, rebranded them as Racing Point and brought in his son Lance, but the saga appears not to be over as a former potential buyer seems set to take Force India's administrators to court.

Force India went into administration midway through the 2018 season and were saved when Lawrence Stroll bought them. They were effectively a new team, however, and any points they won were under a different name.

Uralkali were in the running to take control of the team until a Stroll led consortium won the race. Uralkali released a statement revealing when they can expect legal proceedings in court to get underway.

"During this hearing the court considered case management issues and settled the timetable for further steps up to trial, which was scheduled to take place between October and December 2020.

"Prior to trial, the parties to the proceedings will be required to disclose certain correspondence and other documents relating to the Bidding Process, and will exchange witness evidence in April 2020."
