George Russell handed five-place grid penalty
George Russell's off brought an early conclusion to FP3. The Williams driver was in the gravel, with the rear of his car touching the wall. As a result of the spin, Williams' mechanics have been forced to change Russell's gearbox, meaning he will take a five-place penalty.
Russell was pushing during his final lap of the session, but he stepped over the limit and lost control of the car. The penalty won't have much affect as it's likely he will finish no higher than P19 as the woes at Williams continue.
Sorry guys, pushing hard to find the limit and just stepped over it...
