Point to prove

Heading into today's action, there certainly are a lot of drivers with a chip on their shoulder. For starters, there is Charles Leclerc, who will want to bounce back after his nightmare ending in Bahrain. Can he put his SF90 on pole again?

His teammate, Sebastian Vettel, has looked on it on Friday. He also has a lot of people to prove wrong after his spin self-inflicted spin in Bahrain. He'll want to remind everyone why he is a four-time champion.

In midfield, you got drivers like Daniel Ricciardo, who won last year's Chinese Grand Prix, and Carlos Sainz who will want to showcase themselves in Shanghai. Both drivers switched teams this year and retired from the first two races with mechanical issues.

The Golden Standard

As was the case in Bahrain, Ferrari again looks to be the quickest car on the grid in Shanghai. The prancing horse has terrifying straight-line speed, which will definitely benefit them in one-lap pace with that endless back straight at the Shanghai International Circuit.

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner called Ferrari the golden standard of F1, as the SF90 gained a whopping four tenths on the straights alone back in Bahrain. Could they be the team to beat again in China?
