Haas driver Kevin Magnussen is one of many drivers who struggles to get the most out of his tyres in China, as the Dane thinks it's "difficult to understand" where the window is for the compounds.
Magnussen finished both sessions outside of the top 10, even going as far down as P16 in FP2. Haas are looking to bounce back after a very disappointing outing in Bahrain, which saw them scoring no points. Magnussen, in particular, had a poor showing, with the former McLaren driver dropping down to P13 after qualifying in sixth.
That drop in places was because he couldn't get his tyres in the right window, and it seems like the Dane struggles with that again in China.
"It was still slightly problematic," the 26-year-old said.
"At least, today it looked like we are struggling again with the tyres. We'll be looking at that tonight, and the focus will be to mainly get the tyres to work, getting them more in the window."

"It's difficult to understand at all where the window is. It's very strange, you can be good in one weekend and not in another. It's very, very narrow, the window but it's not like we understand it."
