Last night, Billy Monger picked up the Helen Rollason award at the BBC Sports Personality awards. This award stands for bravery and inspiring others while in adversity. Watch the video below to see Lewis Hamilton hand over the award to Monger, who was forced to lose his lower legs following a nasty crash. Hamilton went on to finish second in the main event while cyclist Geraint Thomas won the sports personality of the year. Mercedes lost out to British women's netball team in the team of the year award.
