During the Formula 1 season, the F1 drivers have to fly around the world, completing 24 Grands Prix. This means a lot of travel and hotel stays but that isn't the case for the Monaco Grand Prix weekend as nearly half the grid live in Monaco. This includes Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. The current Ferrari driver was born and raised in Monte Carlo.

How many F1 drivers live in Monaco?

Monaco is home to many rich people. This is largely due to the low taxes, good privacy, and (typically) nice weather. It's also synonymous with Formula 1. In 2024, the F1 drivers will compete in the 70th official World Championship race at the venue. The Principality is littered in F1 history. There are many ex-drivers living in the area, as well as current.

There are at least nine drivers living in Monaco. These are; Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, George Russell, Valtteri Bottas, Nico Hulkenberg, Daniel Ricciardo, and Alex Albon.

It's no surprise that Leclerc is staying in the region. He was born and raised in Monaco and drives by many familiar locations from his childhood during the race, including his school. All other F1 drivers have moved to the region since becoming successful within Formula 1 and that is often met with criticism by some fans in the United Kingdom. Hamilton and Norris were both heavily criticised for the move.
