After racing for Haas F1 for three years, Nico Hulkenberg will make the switch to Sauber to drive for Audi in 2025. Who will drive alongside him is not yet known, but Hulkenberg already knows who he would welcome.

Hulkenberg and Sainz at Audi?

Hulkenberg returned to racing in 2023 for Haas after a few years on the sidelines. "Since my return, I am in a place that makes me happy. Mentally I feel good, I feel young again, motivated, very prepared for the track," Hulkenberg told DAZN. Still, the German is ready for a new adventure: Audi.

His teammate at Audi is still unknown, but many people speculate it will be Carlos Sainz. With Lewis Hamilton about to leave for Scuderia Ferrari, the Spaniard needs to find a new spot on the grid. Hülkenberg is ready to welcome him to Audi with open arms.

"I appreciate Carlos immensely, he is an incredible driver," Hulkenberg said. "We were already teammates at Renault in 2018 and I enjoyed sharing a team with him. As a driver, you want to be able to choose your best option on a sporting level. Personally, I would love it."
