6 April - 02:30

After FP2 at the Suzuka Circuit was washed away, drivers will have one more chance Saturday morning to find the right set up. After Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri topped FP1 and FP2 on Friday respectively, the final practice session will begin at 3:30am (GMT) / 4:30am (CET) and will last for an hour. You can follow all the action from Japan here.

As FP2 was hardly a guide of what's to come, looking at the first session, the two Red Bulls seem to be out in front. Max Verstappen set the fastest time of that session and finished ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez. The Ferraris finished in P3 and P6 respectively, but the Italian's long run pace stood out.

McLaren seemed to the third team this weekend, but it has not been on display so far. After some challenging weekends, especially the one in Australia, the two Mercedes drivers were satisfied with finishing fourth and fifth Friday morning. Furthermore, after crashing out, Logan Sargeant will hope to return to driving his car, which could not be fixed in time for the second session on Friday.
