15-year-old Can Oncu has broken two very impressive records with his debut-win in Moto3 in Valencia, becoming both the youngest winner in history and the first winner on his debut since 1991.
The minimum age in Moto3 is usually 16, but Oncu was able to get in at 15 because he won the 'Red Bull Rookies' title at Spielberg.
The Turkish driver already impressed by qualifying fourth at Valencia, but nobody expected him to actually improve on that during the race. When the lights went out in the rain at Valencia, Oncu quickly found himself in the top three in the last race of the season.
He didn't overtake the two drivers ahead, Marco Bezzecchi and Tony Arbolino, as much as they took themselves out, but take nothing away from Oncu's driving. He almost threw it away on the final away as he had a massive wobble, but he got his bike under control and crossed the line with a victory on his debut.
A debut win in Spain and becoming the youngest winner ever for a Red Bull team, it does remind us of a certain someone in Formula 1...
