Codemasters and EA Sports have confirmed F1 24 will launch worldwide on May 31, 2024. If F1 23 players pre-order the game, they can play Time Trail Challenges with the new 2024 cars that will be seen racing in the Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend.

The 2024 cars included in the initial launch will be Alpine, Haas, McLaren and Williams. It will include their new liveries for the 2024 season. A second wave of new season liveries will be introduced in April.

What players can expect in F1 24

"For the first time, our F1 23 players can now connect immediately with the 2024 season with some of their favourite teams ahead of this weekend’s first Lights Out. Our full reveal is coming soon, and we’re bringing players an overhauled Career mode, a new EA SPORTS Dynamic Handling System, and so much more," said Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters.

If you pre-order, there are other bonuses that you will receive on launch day, including "several valuable items". The digital-exclusive Champions Edition equips drivers with two new Formula 1 Icons, 18,000 Pitcoin and an F1 World Bumper Pack featuring resources for single and multiplayer gameplay events. They will also receive up to three days of early access starting May 28, and all pre-orders come with one bonus VIP Podium Pass. Players pre-ordering the Standard Edition will receive 5,000 Pitcoin and an F1 World Starter Pack.

The F1 24 marks a very early release in comparison to previous years. In 2020, 2021 and 2022, the game was released in July. This moved forward in 2023 with a release date on June 16. For 2024, the game will be available to play in May, which allows players more time to enjoy the game during the current F1 season.
