The morning session of the second day of testing in Bahrain ended early. This is because a drain cover came loose at turn 11. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc drove over it and damaged his car in the process.

Charles Leclerc drove over a loose drain cover during the morning session of the second day of testing in Bahrain. This damaged the floor of the Ferrari. The team has confirmed that the floor has been repaired after the incident. So it looks like car is ready to go back on track for the afternoon session.

Ferrari have no luck with track covers

His Ferrari teammate, Carlos Sainz, experienced something similar in Las Vegas. He also drove over a loose cover there which caused a lot of damage to his car. In the end, this even earned the Spaniard a grid penalty.

At 11:00 UK time/12:00 CET, the afternoon session starts in Bahrain. This has been moved forward an hour to make up some time for the shortened morning session. You can follow the session here.
