After a 48-year absence, Ferrari will return to the top tier of endurance racing from 2023, it announced today. Ferrari will appear at Le Mans with a Hypercar programme and participate in the World Endurance Championship once more.
“Fifty years after its last official participation in the premier class of the World Sports Car Championship in 1973, Ferrari will take to the track in the Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship, which it proactively helped to establish", Ferrari announced through its official channels.
Ferrari also revealed the news via Twitter. They did so in a short but telling video: “2023. LMH. Enough said."
