Perez's father (63) will also be in action during Mexican GP weekend

Antonio Perez dreamed of becoming a racing driver as a child. He succeeded, although he was not particularly successful. He competed once at Daytona and he became national champion in the Marlboro Cup in 1987. However, a severe back injury ended his driving career, although he did remain involved in motorsport as a representative of Adrian Fernandez and Tomas Lopez Rocha, among others.
