Ted Kravitz supports Max Verstappen after the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Dutchman is receiving a lot of criticism after his controversial action in which he refused to relinquish his position to Sergio Perez. The Sky Sports commentator thinks Verstappen has a good point.

In Mexico, Verstappen and Red Bull Racing decided to stop speaking to Sky Sports following Kravitz's statements about the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The two-time world champion sat down with the British team prior to the Brazilian GP to discuss the incident. At Interlagos, Verstappen was therefore able to put the incident behind him and spoke to Sky again.

Following the Dutchman's controversial race at Interlagos, Kravitz sided with Verstappen. The Red Bull driver received a five-second penalty for contact with Lewis Hamilton. In the closing stages of the race, Verstappen refused to give up his position for teammate Perez. The Dutchman has since faced a lot of criticism.

'Who's going to remember that in the history books?'

"You could make a lot out of it. Max was asked to do something, but said no. Max makes a good point, I suppose, saying: ‘[Perez and Leclerc] are level on points and I’ll help in Abu Dhabi if you want me to’. Max is not interested. He’s interested in the world championship, which he’s already done. It would be nice for Perez to be second but it doesn’t really matter. Who’s going to remember that in the history books?" Kravitz is quoted by Crash.net.

"It is a nice thing for Red Bull Racing. But knowing Max he thinks: ‘Sergio finishing second? I doubt he cares. But does it really matter? We’ve won the championship. Job done,’" says the Briton. Perez leaves for Abu Dhabi with 290 points, the same number as P2 rival Charles Leclerc. Verstappen will be there to help his teammate earn as many points as possible.
