Last weekend, controversy erupted around Sky Sports when it became clear that the entire Red Bull Racing team refused to talk to Sky reporters. This could all be traced back to statements Ted Kravitz made about Max Verstappen a week earlier. Martin Brundle stands behind his colleague, as he revealed on social media.

Brundle stands behind Kravitz

"For the avoidance of doubt my friend and colleague for the past 26 years Ted Kravitz has my full support. Face-to-face dialogue is the only way to sort out issues and disputes in the relentless crucible of the F1 paddock. We all have opinions and different jobs to do, that’s life," reads Brundle's statement.

Whether Red Bull's boycott will affect Kravitz is unclear. Sky Sports, have so far remained silent on the conflict, which Sky's German and Italian editions were also dragged into. Verstappen stressed that it was mainly a reaction to statements made by one person, with the statements made in Austin proving to be the straw.

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner stated that his team will speak to Sky again at the next race in Brazil and that the action was mainly meant to make a point. Meanwhile, Lando Norris seemed slightly fed up with Kravitz's suggestive questions.
