Ralf Schumacher is not happy with the way things are going at Haas F1. According to Haas, consistency is the main goal at the moment, but this is driving Schumacher crazy. His nephew Mick Schumacher's position is still not certain for 2023.

Schumacher still uncertain

Mick Schumacher is still unsure whether he will be on the grid with Haas in 2023. This is because compatriot Nico Hulkenberg reportedly has good papers to take over his seat. This leads to annoyance for Ralf Schumacher. During VT1 in the United States, Antonio Giovinazzi took over the wheel from Kevin Magnussen. Giovinazzi does not fall under the 'rookie rule' whereby teams have to let a rookie drive twice in the year during a VT1. Incidentally, the Italian also crashed.

Team boss Guenther Steiner reacted to the crash, saying it was important to think about the future and move forward. "We can only do that if our drivers perform consistently and ideally score points regularly," Steiner said according to Sky Deutschland.

No consistency at Haas

Steiner's remark shot Ralf Schumacher the wrong way. "I don't know if he means the team or the drivers when he says consistency. I don't understand what this is all about. Maybe he should listen to his own interviews," said Michael Schumacher's brother.

"The current Haas drivers are doing well and I think Haas would do well to continue with them. If they are so critical of the drivers, maybe it is time to do some self-criticism too," said Schumacher. "This is not Netflix, this is Formula 1."
