Red Bull Racing's planned press conference will not take place. This is because Christian Horner would first sit down with Mohammed Ben Sulayem about the budget cap.
Things are once again hopping in Formula 1, and this time Red Bull Racing is the main subject. The team is said to have exceeded the 2021 budget cap by an amount of around two million dollars. This would still belong to a minor offence, but there could still be a financial or sporting penalty for that.

No press conference from Red Bull

Red Bull, however, disagrees with the FIA's calculation. Red Bull argues that it submitted a calculation in which it was four million dollars below the budget cap. With this, therefore, a difference of opinion has arisen. Red Bull is now said to have scheduled a press conference on Friday morning (US time) to provide clarity to the outside world.
However, according to De Telegraaf journalist, Erik van Haren, that press conference will not take place. Horner should first meet with the FIA president to discuss the situation once more. The FIA would have given Red Bull an Accepted Breach Agreement, but Red Bull would thus agree that it was wrong and the team does not want that.
