Sebastian Vettel would seriously consider returning to Formula 1 for once if he is allowed to race in Japan. The German at the press conference about his fondness for the Suzuka Circuit.

At the end of 2022, Vettel will leave Formula 1. The German decided to announce his retirement after two seasons in action for Aston Martin. Vettel does not regret the decision to leave the sport. The four-time world champion has no plans for the future yet but would love to return to Japan one day.

Vettel loves Suzuka

Before the Japanese Grand Prix, Vettel discusses, according to The Race Indeed, his love for the country and its circuits. Suzuka is perhaps the Aston Martin driver's favourite circuit and he would love to return. Vettel does not necessarily fancy a role as a reserve driver, but a one-off fill-in like Jenson Button once did on behalf of McLaren when Fernando Alonso drove the Indy 500 would be something Vettel would like.

''Maybe if one of these guys (pointing to the men next to him in the press conference) eels a bit sick. I don’t know – I don’t wish them to feel so – but I wouldn’t mind jumping back in for a race at Suzuka at any time.'' A deal to race only at Suzuka is also something Vettel sees as an option: ''Yeah, if anybody is happy to sign up a driver for a single race. I’m sure those guys wouldn’t be happy to step aside but that would be something I’d seriously consider,'' Vettel concluded.
