Leclerc reveals Ferrari atmosphere: "A lot of pressure on this team"

Charles Leclerc has admitted the Italian Grand Prix puts extra pressure on the Ferrari team. In front of the Tifosi the team want to perform well and that happened today with Leclerc on pole position.

Over the course of the season, we go through a number of different Grands Prix with special occasions. This weekend, it's Ferrari's turn and Leclerc speaks about the pressures on their shoulders in an interview with Sky Sports. 

"There is a lot of pressure on the team and to perform at such a good level today is good but now we need to repeat that tomorrow. The feeling is really good It feels really good especially after Spa we struggled massively. We worked hard after Spa to try and identify the weaknesses of the car. And, it just feels great. It's a special week for us Ferrari drivers," he said. 

Throughout the 2022 Formula 1 season, Ferrari have been pushing for race wins and pole positions again. They might not have the overall fastest car, but they have thrown away lots of points through either strategy mistakes or driver errors. Leclerc knows Ferrari must keep their cool. 

"We just need to put it all together and not make mistakes. Honestly, I am quite confident that we have good race pace. They have a very different configuration with higher downforce but I am quite confident that we can make it tomorrow," he added.
