The Red Bull juniors from Formula 2 dominate on the streets of Baku. Helmut Marko can be satisfied with three of his drivers on the first and second rows of the grid after qualifying on Friday.

Red Bull-junior Jüri Vips will start from pole position during the main race on Sunday, but fellow juniors Liam Lawson and Dennis Hauger also managed to finish in the top three. Things are looking good for the team in Baku.

For now, the three drivers are not candidates for the F2 championship, but the good results could pose a threat to the AlphaTauri drivers. Pierre Gasly will want to look elsewhere anyway after the confirmation of Sergio Perez, but for Yuki Tsunoda it becomes more and more important to prove himself in Formula 1.

Verschoor sixth

On Saturday, however, the three juniors will have to start from the midfield, as the top eight will be reversed for the sprint race. Dutchman Richard Verschoor finished sixth and will thus start from third position during the sprint race on Saturday.
