Oliver Rowland did not manage to make it a double during the free practice sessions in Berlin. The Briton ends the second free practice on P6. André Lotterer was the fastest on the Tempelhof circuit. Robin Frijns improved strongly compared to VT1 and finished fifth.

The best Dutchman in VT2 was Robin Frijns. The Dutchman ends his session in a neat fifth position. Nyck de Vries had a difficult session and could not get any further than the eighteenth time.
