The racing season is finally over after this weekend, but for the teams the focus is already on the future. On Tuesday and Wednesday after the Grand Prix, young talents get the chance to show their skills. One of the youngsters who gets an outing is Robert Shwartzman.

Two teams

The Russian is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy and was already announced by Haas for the Abu Dhabi test. Now Ferrari has also announced that Shwartzman will take the wheel for one day, alongside the previously announced Antonio Fuocco. It is still unknown on which day the second-placed driver in the Formula 2 standings will drive for Ferrari and on which day for Haas.

"I am very happy to be back testing with Scuderia Ferrari," said Shwartzman. "It's an honour to drive this F1 car, but it's also a big responsibility. That's why I'm extremely grateful to Ferrari for the trust. I'm going to try to enjoy it as much as possible and at the same time do a good job collecting data for the team."

Third time

Shwartzam has driven a Ferrari F1 car twice before. In 2021, he piloted the 2018 car, and in Abu Dhabi, the talented Russian will drive the current car - currently driven by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz - for the first time.
