Gasly critical: "I don’t feel quite as positive"

Pierre Gasly has revived his excellent form during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend. The Frenchman set fourth and third fastest times during the first two free practice sessions, boosting his confidence ahead of Saturday's qualifying session.

The AlphaTauri driver is having an excellent season and showed on Friday that he is still strong. In the first free practice the team made an immediate impression on the track and Gasly drove a convincing fourth time. A few hours later he was even faster than Max Verstappen.

Afterwards, Gasly could do nothing but be satisfied with the first day. "I really like driving this track he said in the press release. "The corners are amazing and there’s a big rush of adrenalin when you’re out there. The whole day has been really good for us and I’m pretty happy with the pace so far."
