The French Motorsport Federation (FFSA) is working on a plan to restart sports events at the end of this summer. Motorsport.com announces this after a Facebook interview with Nicolas Deschaux, president of the FFSA. Deschaux hopes that the measures will allow them to think carefully about racing again.
"At the moment, we're busy restoring the current calendar. This is based on expectations of course, but we hope to be able to organise races again at the end of August or the beginning of September", reports Deschaux. "There may be organisations that are starting preparations earlier, but we are working to make sure that events can start from August".

Economic impact on motorsport as yet unknown

"The economic impact depends entirely on the duration of the measures. The longer the period, the greater the damage. Of course, it is also important whether we get money from the government to survive". For the circuits, Deschaux hopes that they will be able to open up sooner, if the relaxation of the measures allows. "We'll see how we can get to work on the circuits faster. We can do that by making a proposal to the state about a possible measure for the circuits."
So a Grand Prix in France on June 28th will most probably not be there, but it is clear that the FFSA will not wait for the verdict of the French government. However, we will have to wait until there is more clarity about the French Grand Prix.
