Tost: "New era" for Honda as they send shockwaves through F1

Franz Tost insists a “new era” has begun for Honda as they scored 12 points in yesterday’s race.

Pierre Gasly managed to beat both McLaren drivers and was the fastest constructor outside of Ferrari and Mercedes.

Stoffel Vandoorne McLaren driver commented: “They (Honda) did their job well and took a big step forward.”

With Red Bull rumoured to be expressing an interest in the Honda engine, Christian Horner was pleased to see Toro Rosso in 4th;

The debate about which engine Red Bull are going to take into 2019 with them will arise again.

Franz Tost confirmed Red Bull were interested when asked if Toro Rosso would be the only team with a Honda engine next year.

"That depends on Red Bull,” said Tost.
