Dutch racing driver Tom Coronel believes that Max Verstappen should move from Red Bull to Ferrari as soon as possible. Coronel believes that Verstappen is currently racing in 'no mans land' and that the Red Bull is unable to match the speed of Mercedes or Ferrari.
''Max just couldn't keep up with the pace and that is because the Mercedes and Ferrari are so much faster," Coronel said to De Telegraaf. "Verstappen now drives in no man's land and you don't want that. Max wants only one thing and that is to become a world champion. Of course he would like to be in the Ferrari now, but he has made his choice for Red Bull,
''You make that choice and then you have to go for it. Of course, there are always ways out, but the team won't want to lose him either. However, if the driver wants to leave, you can't do much more. But now Verstappen has to sit it out, although as a driver I would do everything to be able to go to Ferrari."
Verstappen is contracted to Red Bull but will be looking at his options for the future.
