Max Quiles won his fifth race of the season in a dramatic race in Assen. Amid the chaos and crashes, the young Spaniard kept a cool head and fended of challenges from several other riders.
It was a fierce race from the very opening lap as David Almansa pulled off a stunning double overtake to get past Quiles, meanwhile Veda Pratama made an excellent launch and scythed his was towards the front. Sadly, the Indonesian crashed out on Lap 8, but fought impressively with the frontrunners while he could.
Alvaro Carpe was involved in a brutal incident when he was run over by Adrian Cruces on Lap 2. Remarkably, the young Spaniard remounted his bike like nothing had happened and managed to rejoin the race until eventually retiring on Lap 15.
The battle eventually came down to a head-to-head duel between Quiles and Almansa, with the championship leader managing to hold on as they crossed the chequered flag.

Malaysia's Hakim Danish had a solid race and led at one point, unfortunately he was later chased down by a large group and missed out on the final podium place as Marco Morelli came through.
