F1 LIVE | Verstappen snatches pole from the McLarens!

With all three practice sessions finally in the books, now it's time to send the cars out on track on low fuel and with soft compound tyres donned on.

Ferrari and Max Verstappen have often shown they are capable of beating both McLaren driver during qualifying when the chance presents itself. Can it be the case in Italy?

Ferrari have shown some serious one lap and long run pace, as has the Dutchman, although McLaren, despite their struggles to find a setup that is comfortable for the drivers to push, is also a contender, and perhaps the favorite to take pole position ahead of Sunday's race.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are no strangers to success at the iconic Italian track, but can they overcome their ride height gremlins to run the cars as low as they need to, in order to pose a serious candidacy for the win on Sunday?

Although Verstappen has stated he is happy with his RB21 around the speedy Italian circuit, he's also been very vocal regarding the fact that the Red Bull car is simply not quick enough. Will the Dutchman and the laborious Red Bull Racing infrastructure be able to turn this crucial weakness around?

Williams seemed like a contender for the top spots as well, but whether or not the Grove-based outfit is indeed primed for a shock result around the long straights and twisty narrow bends of the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza remains to be seen. One thing they've got in their favour? Carlos Sainz has already clinched pole at the Temple of Speed, during his Ferrari red days? Can he do so again during his Williams blues tenure?
